Timothy McGowen was born in Modesto, California. His journey into literature started with reading the goosebumps books. Later he read a novel by Terry Brooks, becoming hooked into fantasy/scifi almost instantly. Then came the school assignment to write a 5 page fiction story, and 25 pages later his story was half done. He hasn’t stopped writing since.

Welcome to the planet of Wyrd. Long ago a race known only as the ‘Ordu’ brought Order to a planet of Chaos. Now the two forces are locked in an eternal struggle for power.
A select few are given full access to a System meant to empower beings of Order. However not all who are born into this world have that special something, called a ‘Spark’ by the locals, to be Awoken and live the life of an Adventurer.
Caldor is your average farm boy who dreams of great adventures and the thrill of monster hunting. You see his father, a Famed Adventure and Hero of the Battle at Lysteen Pass, was an Arcane Knight and Caldor wont accept that he too is destined for great things. After he’s told his father died during the Battle at Lysteen Pass, he is mentored by his fathers best friend, Warrick the Wizard.
But something strange happens when Warrick has to suddenly disappear for a secret task that will change Caldor’s future forever. While out hunting he feels something that can only be described as a ‘Spark’. Finally getting what he’s always dreamed of, Caldor must deal with the reality of being an Adventurer and try not to drown against the sudden overwhelming responsibility that so many wish to thrust on him.
The politics, secret maneuverings, and responsibilities are everywhere, but Caldor just wants to be a simple adventurer. Join him as he gives it his best shot.

Summary: I love Scfi and Fantasy. More often then not my stories tend to have a mix of both, but I got to thinking about Portal or Reincarnation stories. What would happen if a human was reincarnated into an Alien? And better yet lets give him a talking snarky book, the title of Champion, and the weight of a doomed alien race of his shoulders and see what happens.
This trilogy is a LitRPG novel, which basically means you will find that an in universe magic has quantified progress and gains into video game esk numbers, displays, and more.
No this isn’t a choose your own adventure book, or a video game manual. This is a story in which certain aspects are quantified in the course of the narrative. It is a load of fun so check it out and enjoy the fast paced adventure!

I have two kids and many nieces and nephews. The plan with this novel was to introduce them to the Genre, LitRPG, that I love but with a Middle Grade style of writing. There would be action and adventure, but I intended it to be more fun than scary. While the project is currently on hold I really hope to get to it by the latest in 2024.
