A Whirlwind of Cons, Releases, and Writing: My Three-Month Recap

Hello, everyone!

I can’t believe it’s already been three months since my last update on July 27th, 2023. I aim for monthly updates to keep you all in the loop, but time sure flies when life gets hectic!

Diving into the World of Comic Cons:

Over the past few months, I’ve delved into the vibrant culture of Comic Cons in the Kansas Area, attending several, including Fountain City Con and Vision Con. Next weekend, I’m excited to venture to Art Capital Comic Con. My wife and I initially viewed these cons as opportunities to spread the word about our work, not expecting significant sales. However, we were pleasantly surprised! Not only did we sell a considerable number of books, but we also connected with fantastic individuals. I’d love to share more details about each event, but in the interest of keeping this post concise, I’ll move on to other exciting news.

Exciting Releases:

In the realm of publications, we’ve had an exhilarating period with the releases of “Nexus Guardian Book 2” and “Arcane Knight Book 5,” along with the German translations of “Arcane Knight” books 1 and 2. While I don’t have the full insights into how the German editions are faring (I receive the KDP reports at year’s end), the English counterparts are performing wonderfully. “Nexus Guardian” had a slower start than I hoped, but I’m thrilled with its progress, nonetheless.

Path of the Titans — A New Adventure on Royal Road:

I’ve also embarked on a new journey with “Path of the Titans” on Royal Road, amassing a dedicated following of over 800 individuals. The feedback has been incredibly constructive, and as always, I share these chapters—and others—on my Patreon.

Personal Reflections and Looking Ahead:

On a personal note, these last few months have seen some dips in my productivity and focus. However, I’ve reevaluated and adjusted my schedule to foster a more sustainable balance, hoping to prevent burnout. Participating in Cons has been an enriching experience, not just for me, but also for my kids, who’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. While they won’t join me for Art Cap Con, flying solo occasionally is refreshing too.

I’m genuinely optimistic about the current state of my writing career. Having been a full-time author for over a year now, I feel incredibly grateful. For those able to provide additional support on Patreon, it’s immensely appreciated and instrumental in maintaining my full-time author status. Equally, for those accessing my work through Kindle Unlimited or eBooks, your readership is invaluable! One small request: if you enjoy my work, please consider sharing it with friends and family. Every new reader joining our LitRPG community is a tremendous boost!

I realize I’ve covered quite a bit, so I’ll wrap up here. A heartfelt thank you to all for being part of this journey, and I eagerly look forward to providing stories that captivate and inspire you for many years to come!
